Fashion photography is not just taking a photo of a model.

 

There is a lot of work behind the scenes. It's not only the lighting setup or the background used.

 

Styling the model with appropriate makeup takes a lot of merit in having a good or bad photo shoot. It takes mastering the techniques of application and the knowledge of color schemes. Makeup should never be overdone to the point that lighting or the set up of the stage is compromised.

 

Everything must be balanced to produce one whole complete picture.
